Buildings Must Die
The design for a crematorium and columbarium set in Denmark which re-examines the western relationship to death and the sanitised architecture we use to house it. The project explores how, rather than constantly maintaining buildings, we could embrace their decay. Perhaps if we celebrated decay and death in buildings, we could also learn to accept it in our own lives.
